During a fun filled night of meeting lots of new people, reconnecting with some old buddies and drinking plenty of beer over at the Model Cafe in Allston for the May '12 Rock 'n' Roll Social, I had the pleasure to meet Andrew of Light.Sweet.Crude. Shortly after I listened to the new track he hooked me up with, I actually received a cool message from the man himself. Here is what he had to say:
"We are an Allston-based alternative/electonic band, and we are releasing three free singles this summer, to introduce listeners to the three main characters of our next album. Three siblings - two brothers and a sister - who are struggling to survive together while each battling their own inner demons.
The first single (released last week), 'Start the Fire,' regards the youngest brother, Asa, who suffers from a sort of Jekkyl/Hyde affliction. It plays out the dialogue in his head as he tries to keep control of his actions, but cannot.

Thanks Andrew! I know that I've already enjoyed the first track numerous times since last night at 2am. Looking forward to the next two! Concept albums/songs can be a hit or miss, but I'll say that this one is pretty cool! It's not every day you even hear one falling into your general genre, which also makes it that much more unique. Great Job!
