| Irukandji |
Lighting up the stage at this once-a-month feature of local talent,
Irukandji will be closing out the night with their first live performance in well over a year. This indie/math rock power-house has already finished mastering and is posed to release their debut album in the near future. I've heard the unreleased album and can say that this is one which deserves some credit for their genre. Including influences such as Don Cab, Dagobah and Dillinger Escape Plan, whilst coming from a number of local bands I've known and loved over the years,
Irukandji's set is going to rock the Midway. Want a taste? Go hit their Reverbnation or Facebook pages and take a listen! Whatever you do, don't miss this set!
Dirty Virgins have a sound born out of the Seattle grunge of the early 90's and the Detroit-stolen-by-Boston garage that has influenced so many bands of this area over the years. Their sound ranges through the surf-punk side of the garage scene str8 into some lesser influences across the indie and math scene that I hear when listening to the tracks at their
Bandcamp page.

| Surf's Up, Spicoli |
Surf's up bitches! Hell yeah!
Surf's Up, Spicoli are hitting the stage with some tunes that should earn them a free time-machine, Bill & Ted phonebooth style! These guys should undoubtedly be concert crashing empty California pools in the 70's with pioneer skateboarder pros whizzing by their every strum.
Surf's Up, Spicoli have been pavement pounding greater Boston since the new year hit and the following they have picked up is well deserved.
Krill will be opening up the night with their own breed of low-fi indie rock. Their sound brings me back to the days when the Pixies ruled my playlist. The sound I hear coming from their latest album "Alam No Hris" sounds like it will transfer very powerfully to a live set. Pretty psyched to see it.
Going to be a lazy bastard this Wed? Don't want to head over to the Midway? Well, that's your loss, but at least you can check the whole show out live online at
BostonRockLive.com! Boston Rock Live, run by Henry of
TRiPLE THiCK will be broadcasting the entire show online! Get over to the
Midway Cafe website or Boston Rock Live and check it all out!
