We have a shoutout to My 411 Source (http://my411source.com) out of western MA. My 411 Source is one of the Boston Bloghead partners. We work together to bridge the gap between east & west Massachusetts while covering each corner of New England in between. Patty and Steve have been working together on the Local Independent Music Media Association (LiMMA Project) to develop an all-inclusive location for local music to be heard, promoted and discussed.
This episode is dedicated to Tiujana Sweetheart. They are playing their final shows this weekend, both at O'Briens Pub, Allston MA. The lineups for both days are awesome, so definitely take the time to get out and see these shows! Get your tickets early!

Faces in the Floor | Bones
I have bones! You have bones! Faces In The Floor (FIF) has "Bones" and they just so happen to be the latest release from the Boston-based metal band. An album that is reminiscent of early 90's metal, when bands such as Pantera and Corrosion of Conformity ruled the scene, "Bones" is an all out rush of hard riffs, even harder drumming and vocals to match.
The days of 90's metal have already passed us by and words like "shred" have been long since over-used to describe a wide-range of fast-paced guitar styles, but this doesn't matter to the heavy rockers Faces In The Floor. FIF comes at you in the wake of Boston heavy metal rebirth with this new album and have a style that can match both the wide-array of metal genre's, hardcore and hard rock alike. Full of Dimebag style riffs along with an awesome set of heavy and impressive percussion and bass-lines, "Bones" delivers a combination of mid-90's metal music with powerful late 70's heavy metal style vocals.
As a whole, this album is definitely something you will want to give a listen to. I love the whole thing, but if I was to point you in the right direction for a few tracks, they would be "Lucy", "Savage" and "Confusion Results in a Slow Painful Death". Listening through each track on the album you can hear a number of influences across the heavy metal and hard rock genres of the past 4 decades. While this may be true, the band is far from recreating music of the past. Each and every song is indicative to their own style and while they may draw influence across the board, there is not a single track on this album that is not fully original.

Live Tonight @ The Limelight Lounge | Haverhill
Tonight, Friday May 25th at The Limelight Lounge in Haverhill MA, we are going to get a taste of some very awesome local acts! Is it a punk show... or just some face-melting rock? I don't know and I don't care! All I do know is that the lineup is going to make for a really badass night and the venue that is making it all happen is one that definitely deserves some good recognition!
The Limelight Lounge -above "The Tap"- has only been open since October 2010, but they have been doing an amazing job putting Haverhill on the map when it comes to shows from original local bands! This show is no different and will be pulling punches from 5 bands out of both Massachusetts and New Hampshire! What makes this better than the names who are playing and the venues atmosphere? It's all for 5 bucks!
Come out to the Limelight Lounge tonight to catch A Minor Revolution with Old English, Shit Brown Eyes, Faces in the Floor and RF30! All the bands playing this gig put out some pretty amazing music and for $5 bucks, you really can't beat a gig like this! Want more? Stay tuned this evening for an album review leading up to the show's kickoff of the latest from Faces in the Floor entitled "Bones"!
